“You have made known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.” (Psalm 16:11)

It is with great joy…and sadness…that I share with you the news that my wonderful father, Patrick Jordan passed into the loving arms of his Savior on Friday, April 22nd. We are grieving his loss but thankful for the hope that is ours because of Jesus; I know that one day we will be together again, worshiping God in our heavenly home. My Dad devoted his life to sharing with others how much Jesus loved them…and as I reflect on his life and his ministry, I can hear his words in my head repeating the promises that “Nothing can separate you from the love of Christ, not even death.” (Romans 8) and “God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5).

Rejoice with me that my father is experiencing “fullness of joy” in the presence of Jesus!

Thank-you for praying for me and my family as we grieve the loss of my father. I would also appreciate your prayers for upcoming ministry events. I will be doing some teaching on “skype” at a National Leadership Conference in Chingola, Zambia April 28-30. Please pray for the pastors and leaders who will be coming to the conference, that they will be encouraged in their faith and walk with the Lord and inspired to share the love of Christ in their communities. Please know that your support is instrumental in ensuring the Pastor’s Conferences can take place; your donations help provide Pastor Kaindu with the funds needed for food, travel expenses for the pastors, curriculum and Bibles for the pastors.

Lord willing, we will travel to Lebanon and Jordan this coming June with Dr. Jim Witty and Care Corps Int. for Trauma Training with pastors and leaders in those countries. We are hoping to provide a Children’s Trauma Program with Syrian refugees in Lebanon and ministry to Iraqi and Syrian refugees in Jordan.

Please know how grateful I am for each and every one of you…and for the love and support you have shown us for so many years!

May God bless you and your families!

What a blessing it was to meet so many new friends from Iraq while in Jordan this month. Their deep faith and trust in God in the midst of the suffering they have experienced is an inspiration to me personally and to all who have the privilege of spending time with them.  My prayer is that God will continue to bless them and that He will lead and guide them–opening up doors so that they might continue to live their lives with meaning and purpose! Mission Trip to Kampala to work with Patrick at “Raising Up Hope for Uganda!”

We are so excited about the opportunity we have to serve the beautiful children living at the children and youth homes at RUHU! We will be providing trauma training with the National leadership, and then putting what we have learned into practice with a trauma/healing camp for the hundreds of children connected to Raising up Hope for Uganda. Our team will have a time of training with Dr. Jim Witty from Care Corps Int. in California before we leave.  We are privileged to have some students coming to help from the Master in Social Work program at California Baptist University and students from a variety of degree programs at Azusa Pacific University.  Dr. Robert Kidega, from Northern Uganda is joining us and will mentor the pre-med students from APU in wound care and tropical medicine. Dr. Kidega is excited that they will be able to assist him in HIV testing for all of the children at RUHU.

Some of us will be arriving in Uganda early so we can head up North to Gulu to be with Aloysius and Esther Kyazze and hear about the wonderful works God is doing through their ministry at Christine’ House (a 7 month program for young women who have been victims of sexual exploitation) and the many new churches they are developing throughout Northern Uganda. Aloysius has served with Sports Outreach for years (a former National Uganda Soccer player with the Cranes) and has been used by God to help bring healing and hope to the many children and adults who were so deeply wounded by the violence in that region.

We are so appreciative of your prayers and support!  We could not bring the healing love of Jesus with us without your help!  Thank-you so much!
